I am a Veteran, Military Spouse, Teacher, and Mother of 4 (including a set of twins).
Life is chaotic, but oh so beautiful!

Recipes: We typically try to adhere to a healthy diet with MyPlate Dietary Guidelines in mind. However, everything in moderation, right? We do have some yummy recipes for those special occasions.
Kids Activities: Summer, or snow days, can be a bit of a challenge when parents have children home all day rather than at school. We’re here to help you prevent those “I’m Bored!” moments when the cabin fever starts to set in.
Travel: All the family travel tips we can muster, and we have done our fair share of traveling-abroad as well as domestic. We spent 2 years in South Korea and took advantage of the short flight times to travel to nearby countries.
Shop: We’ll share with you all the products and supplies that help us keep our chaotic life as organized as possible. We also have a small digital product business to help you at Alaqua Bay Designs LLC.
My background
Education: I hold a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and have some background in Health Sciences. I am currently working toward earning a Professional Teaching License in Elementary Education K-6.
Finances: I served as a Supply Sergeant in the Army where I learned research techniques to find the BEST prices for goods and services. BARGAIN BETTY HERE! I have also spent the last decade finding as many deals and budget-friendly options as possible for our growing family of 6 while living on one income.
Food Preparation: From the time I was 6 years old, I helped my Mother and Grandmother in the kitchen to prepare meals. I have always had a love for creating delicious meals for my family and revel in finding budget-friendly, healthy options, with a sweet treat here and there.
Blog: During the quarantine of 2020, I had planned to return to the workforce, but we were blessed with our surprise twins and I found myself in need of a hobby. I discovered graphic design and blogging to be thoroughly enjoyable.
Home: We live in beautiful, sunny Florida where we hope to remain for retirement. Our 4 children have moved around so much already for the military, and we love the stability our small town provides. Our fur baby, Noah, is an 11-year-old chocolate lab who has thoroughly enjoyed the warmer weather Florida provides.
Favorites: I have many favorite things, but most of all would be spending October in the mountains. Funny, isn’t it? A mountain girl who now lives in Florida. I am not a snowbird. I love the snow. Surprise, surprise, I love everything Pumpkin Spice too!
